2027 three-star defensive lineman Joshua Lane will visit Tennessee for the Vols' football game against Auburn, he announced on Thursday.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound prospect is an in-state target from Memphis Central High School in Memphis, Tennessee. Rivals ranks him as the No. 165 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 61 player in Tennessee.
Memphis offered Lane a scholarship on June 2 and he committed to the Tigers on June 20. He announced his decommitment from Memphis on Sept. 20.
Tennessee offered Lane a scholarship on Sept. 14. His visit on Oct. 3 will be his first to Tennessee.
Jacksonville State was the first school to offer Lane a scholarship on April 17. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Samford, Southern Miss, Western Kentucky, Tennessee State, Chattanooga, Ole Miss, Alabama A&M, Southeast Missouri State, Louisiana Tech, Austin Peay, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Mississippi State, Alabama, Iowa State and Kentucky.
Tennessee has 19 commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler, wide receiver KeSean Bowman, defensive back Carter Jamison and defensive back Brandon Leavell, tight end Malik Howard, defensive lineman Christian Mays, cornerback Dylan Haley, linebacker Kenneth Simon II, kicker Ford Fehling, long snapper Sam McKeown, offensive tackle Q’Mari Hudson, athlete Dayon Cooper, safety Marcus Jones, offensive tackle Niko Kampas, running back David Gabriel Georges and running back Asa Barnes.
